Mommy Owen Date

Owen and I go on lots of fun adventures together on Fridays when Todd is at work, but they usually involve running errands or a trip to the park. While he has a ton of fun pushing his own size cart around Trader Joe's or playing at the park, last Saturday I decided to take him to BluBerry Frozen Yogurt before grocery shopping. He sampled a bunch and chose Cake Batter, with a few toppings, but then he saw the gummi bears and that was what he loaded up on! The little things are so important, just a simple 20 minute ice cream date, the two of us chatting about random things that popped into Owen's head. He was so excited to have a bowl that he made all for himself. Our lives are so crazy with my work schedule and he is such a trooper. I feel blessed that we have such a great daycare for him to go to; I know that he is in good hands when he is away from us. It makes the time that we have together so precious. I know I am luckier than some moms since I only have to work 4 days a week. I feel so fortunate to be his Mom.
